**APGA CONGRATULATES NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, BARR. SLY EZEOKENWA ON NBA AND CYON AWARDS**

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated its National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, on his recent recognition and honours by two distinguished organizations—the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Awka Branch, and the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Onitsha Archdiocese.

This was made known through a press statement issued by the State Chairman of the Party, Wole Adedoyin, in Ilesa.

According to the statement, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa was conferred with the "Excellent Leadership Award" by the NBA Awka Branch and an "Honorary Award" by the CYON Onitsha Archdiocese, recognizing his steadfast commitment to leadership excellence, youth development, and good governance.

The Osun APGA described the awards as a fitting tribute to the exceptional contributions of the National Chairman to both legal advocacy and youth empowerment.

Reacting to the honours, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa expressed his gratitude to the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria for the recognition, highlighting the importance of youth development as the bedrock of national progress. "I am deeply honoured to have been conferred with the Award of Honour by the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Onitsha Archdiocese, in recognition of my commitment to youth development and empowerment, presented during the 2025 Youth Day celebration," he said.

Ezeokenwa reiterated his firm belief that the peace, prosperity, and future of Nigeria depend on nurturing young people. He emphasized that initiatives such as 'APGA NEXT GENERATION' were specifically designed to cultivate youth participation in politics and policy-making, laying a sustainable foundation for governance and popular participation across the country.

The APGA National Chairman also paid tribute to the Governor of Anambra State and the Party’s National Leader, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for his visionary leadership in prioritizing youth empowerment. He particularly praised Soludo's "One Youth, Two Skills" programme, which has positively impacted the lives of thousands of young people in Anambra State.

Barr. Ezeokenwa also expressed his profound gratitude for being awarded the "Excellent Leadership Award" by the Nigerian Bar Association, Awka Branch. "As a lawyer and National Chairman of APGA, this recognition inspires me to continue championing good governance and promoting progressive leadership," he stated, noting that the NBA's acknowledgment reinforced his resolve to lead with integrity and service.

He further emphasized that the awards were a testament to APGA’s core philosophy, which is deeply rooted in transformative leadership, people-centred governance, and a commitment to accountability. "Our party’s motto, 'Be Your Brother’s Keeper,' reflects a leadership philosophy that prioritizes service over self-interest," he added.

The Osun State Chapter of APGA, in its statement, lauded Barr. Ezeokenwa’s unwavering dedication to the Party’s ideals and to the broader mission of nation-building through service, integrity, and visionary leadership.

They expressed confidence that his leadership would continue to inspire the younger generation and strengthen the party’s grassroots engagements nationwide.

The party concluded by describing the awards as a collective victory for all APGAns and progressive Nigerians who believe that leadership should be defined by service, accountability, and impact. They urged members and supporters to rally behind the National Chairman as he continues to steer the Party towards greater achievements for the benefit of all.
