The event was compered by the State Secretary of Oyo APGA. More than 20 members from both the zonal and state chapters were present at the declaration.

The event began with a brief introduction by the National Vice Chairman (Southwest) of the party, Alhaji Suraj Owolabi. In his remarks, Alhaji Owolabi noted that the Ekiti and Osun State elections are scheduled for next year, and preparations are already underway for APGA to field credible candidates in both states.
