This significant development was announced in the September 24, 2024, edition of the Nigerian Tribune, confirming Adedoyin's candidacy.

Adedoyin, who will run under the banner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), takes another step in his political journey with this latest clearance.

A prince from the Bilagbayo ruling house of Ilesa, Wole Adedoyin is a well-known figure in the political landscape of Osun State. His political experience dates back to the 2018 governorship election, where he contested under the Hope Democratic Party (HDP), alongside notable candidates such as Senator Iyiola Omisore, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, and former Osun State Secretary to the Government, Hon. Moshood Adeoti. Adedoyin had expressed confidence in the HDP's distinct political vision at that time.

Adedoyin is also recognized for his participation in the Emerging Political and Economic Leaders Summit, a prestigious event held in Abuja. He attended the summit in 2017 and again in 2018, where he engaged with political leaders and experts from across the globe. The summit was organized in collaboration with institutions such as the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership and the Harvard University Institute of Politics.

His decision to enter local government politics stressed his longstanding commitment to the development and empowerment of his community.

With this official clearance from OSSIEC, Adedoyin is now set to contest the Ilesa West local government chairman position. His candidacy has sparked enthusiasm among supporters who believe his leadership experience and dedication to social causes will drive progress in the region.

Running under the APGA banner, Adedoyin represents a party that has been making strides to extend its influence across Osun State. APGA, renowned for its advocacy for good governance and social justice, is optimistic that Adedoyin’s campaign will resonate with voters who seek a leader focused on inclusive and people-oriented governance.

During his campaign, Adedoyin is expected to address crucial issues such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and social welfare. His vision for Ilesa West prioritizes inclusive growth, community empowerment, and addressing the pressing needs of local residents. Supporters are rallying behind his candidacy, eager to see a leader who understands and is committed to solving the unique challenges facing the area.

Throughout his political career, Wole Adedoyin has demonstrated a strong passion for grassroots development, earning respect from his peers and constituents. His candidacy presents a fresh opportunity for Ilesa West to embrace a leader who blends traditional values with modern governance strategies.

The OSSIEC clearance is a key milestone in Adedoyin's political aspirations. As the election date approaches, his campaign team is expected to intensify efforts to engage with voters and outline clear, actionable plans for the future of Ilesa West.

The political environment in Osun State is becoming increasingly competitive, and Adedoyin’s entry into the local government race signals a desire for change among the electorate. His campaign is expected to focus on transparency, accountability, and a governance approach that puts people first.

With the election just months away, political analysts believe Wole Adedoyin's candidacy under the APGA platform presents a strong challenge to other contenders. His established political experience, local roots, and vision for Ilesa West make him a key figure to watch as the election approaches.

Why APGA is Contesting in the Osun Local Government Poll for the First Time Since Its Inception in the State

WHY APGA IS CONTESTING IN THE OSUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT POLL FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN THE STATE

For the first time since its inception, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State has been cleared to participate in the upcoming local government election.

This historic achievement marks a major turning point for the party in the state, as there has been no verifiable record or evidence that APGA has previously contested in the local government elections in Osun.

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) recently granted clearance to APGA candidates, signaling the party's readiness to play an active role in the local governance process.

This milestone reflects the party’s growth, as it has worked tirelessly to build its structures, engage with the electorate, and prepare for participation in future elections.

The decision to join the local government election for the first time is significant, as it not only signals APGA’s commitment to serving the people of Osun but also highlights its resolve to offer an alternative governance model. With APGA’s involvement, the people of Osun now have a choice to elect leaders who are focused on accountability, transparency, and community-driven progress at the local level.

Over the past year, APGA has made significant strides in terms of party programming, structural upgrades, and visibility within Osun. The party has also strengthened its organizational framework, building a foundation for success in this election. From grassroots mobilization to strategic meetings, APGA has demonstrated a clear commitment to preparing its candidates and supporters for the challenges ahead.

A major factor in the party’s success has been the unwavering support from the national leadership of APGA, particularly from the National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa. His guidance, encouragement, and advocacy for the Osun chapter have been invaluable in securing the necessary approvals for the party’s participation.

Barr. Ezeokenwa's strategic direction and collaboration with the Osun chapter have played a critical role in reaching this significant milestone.

Additionally, the party has benefitted greatly from the support of the National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Alh. Suraj Owolabi. His counsel, leadership, and constant presence have ensured that the Osun chapter was well-prepared for this important election.

The strong partnership between the national and state leaderships has been crucial to the party's progress.

This achievement is also a testimony to the collective effort of APGA members and executives in Osun.

Their commitment, dedication, and hard work in building the party's base and engaging with the public have been integral to the success of this endeavor. From organizing party events to mobilizing voters, the leadership and members of APGA Osun have been instrumental in ensuring the party's participation in the election.

As the party moves forward, it remains committed to addressing key issues that affect the people of Osun at the grassroots level.

APGA aims to prioritize important areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and social welfare through its candidates.

The party’s goal is to offer innovative, people-centered governance that reflects the aspirations and needs of the people of Osun.

Finally, APGA’s participation in this local government election marks a historic moment in Osun State's political landscape. The party is excited to offer a fresh approach to governance, and it expresses gratitude to all its members, executives, and supporters who have made this possible. With continued support, APGA is confident that it can deliver leadership that is transparent, accountable, and focused on the development of Osun State.

Court of Appeal Grants Leave for APGA and National Chairman to Appeal Previous Ruling

COURT OF APPEAL GRANTS LEAVE FOR APGA, NATIONAL CHAIRMAN TO APPEAL PREVIOUS RULING

By Wole Adedoyin

In a significant legal development, the Court of Appeal has unanimously granted leave to Chief Victor Ike Oye, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to appeal the judgment delivered by the same court on June 28, 2024. This ruling, issued on [insert date], marks a crucial step in addressing the ongoing leadership dispute within APGA.

The statement, authored by Victor Agunzi Esq., National Legal Adviser for APGA, outlines the key elements of the Court's decision. The Court of Appeal specifically highlighted that the current appeal revolves around the leadership tussle within APGA. Despite this, APGA as a political entity, along with its National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, had not been joined in the original appeal, leading to a notable omission.

Following a thorough review, the Court of Appeal found merit in the applications for leave to appeal, referenced under Application Nos: 1. CA/ABJ/PRE/ROA/723MI/2024, 2. CA/ABJ/PRE/ROA/CV/728MI/2024, 3. CA/ABJ/PRE/ROA/CV/870MI/2024

The Court's decision to grant leave for Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa and APGA to appeal underscores the importance of their involvement as interested parties in this matter.

Efforts by Edozie Njoku and his associates to obstruct Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa and APGA's appeal to the Supreme Court have been unsuccessful. The Court of Appeal's decision effectively nullifies these attempts, ensuring that the appeal process can proceed without further hindrance.

Additionally, the Court of Appeal addressed the Application for Stay of Execution submitted by Chief Victor Ike Oye. The application was denied on the grounds that it had been rendered moot by subsequent developments.

As a result of this ruling, the stage is now set for the Supreme Court to provide clarification on its previous judgments of October 14, 2021, and the subsequent correction made on March 24, 2023. This upcoming review by the highest court promises to bring resolution to the protracted leadership dispute within APGA.

The Court of Appeal’s decision reaffirmed the commitment to a fair legal process and ensures that all parties involved have the opportunity to present their case before the Supreme Court. The appeal represents a critical moment for APGA as it seeks to resolve internal conflicts and uphold its leadership structure.

This development is a notable milestone in the ongoing legal and political discourse surrounding APGA. Stakeholders and party members alike are keenly awaiting the Supreme Court’s forthcoming judgment, which will have lasting implications for the party’s governance and future direction.

APGA Rejects Chekwas Okorie's Baseless Claims, Stands Firm Against His Destructive Agenda

APGA REJECTS CHEKWAS OKORIE'S BASELESS CLAIMS, STANDS FIRM AGAINST HIS DESTRUCTIVE AGENDA

By Wole Adedoyin

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has firmly denounced Chief Chekwas Okorie's recent address, characterizing it as a string of falsehoods and unsubstantiated claims. In a detailed rebuttal, APGA has highlighted Okorie's history of deceit and opportunism, underscoring his attempts to destabilize the party for personal gain. These actions, driven by desperation, are deemed unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the party.

Mazi Ejimofor Opara KSM, the National Publicity Secretary of APGA, issued a statement condemning Okorie's statements. According to Opara, Okorie's behavior reflects a pattern of betrayal and blackmail, revealing a character unworthy of the party's values. APGA's leadership is resolute in its commitment to integrity and will not be swayed by Okorie's manipulative tactics.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo, a steadfast pillar of APGA, continues to drive significant progress in Anambra State. His leadership is integral to the party's success and development. The accusations leveled against him by Okorie are dismissed as baseless and a blatant disregard for Governor Soludo's invaluable contributions to the party and the state.

Chief Okorie's assertions regarding an APGA leadership crisis are labeled as misrepresentations. His flawed interpretation of the Supreme Court's judgment is a diversion from the lawful appeal filed by the APGA leadership under Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa. This appeal seeks to uphold democratic principles against attempts to undermine the true leadership of the party.

The Supreme Court's validation of Okorie's expulsion from APGA in 2009 stressed his unsuitability for any role within the party. Okorie's persistent attempts to exploit APGA for personal gain are deemed unacceptable. His previous history of treachery and blackmail, coupled with his current actions, reinforces the decision to expel him.

Okorie's lack of transparency about the Federal High Court's judgment on his 2023 Presidential candidacy further questions his integrity. Both the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal dismissed his claims, revealing a fraudulent strategy aimed at deceiving the public and fleecing the Anambra State Government of taxpayer money.

APGA remains robust and united under the leadership of Governor Soludo and Barrister Ezeokenwa. The party's resilience and commitment to its ideals are unwavering, despite Okorie's attempts to undermine its leadership. The focus remains on progressing the party's agenda and addressing the needs of the people.

Okorie's recent press conference is seen as another attempt to blackmail both the judiciary and APGA's national leadership. This behavior is consistent with his past tactics and is expected to be disregarded by the party and its supporters.

Prof. Charles Soludo's commitment to upholding truth and integrity within APGA is steadfast. The party will not succumb to Okorie's attempts at cheap blackmail and falsehoods. APGA's leadership is prepared to confront these challenges head-on and ensure that the party's values and principles are upheld.

The ongoing legal battles and opposition to Supreme Court appeals by Okorie and his associates only highlight their attempts to subvert justice. APGA and its leaders, including Barrister Ezeokenwa, are determined to pursue their constitutional right to appeal and expose any falsehoods propagated by Okorie and his allies. The true leadership of APGA will prevail as the legal process unfolds.
