FINAL RITES FOR CHIEF SYLVESTER A.C. EZEOKENWA HOLD JULY 19

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has announced the funeral ceremony of his beloved father, Late Chief Hon. (Sir) Sylvester Anyarue Chukwuma Ezeokenwa (Ezeudo Umuchu). The distinguished elder statesman, community leader, and devout Catholic will be laid to rest on Saturday, 19th July, 2025, in his hometown, Umuchu, Aguata LGA of Anambra State.
According to the official funeral announcement, the Funeral Mass will commence promptly at 10:00 am at Holy Name Parish, Umuchu, where the faithful will gather to offer prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed patriarch. The interment will follow immediately after the Mass at the Ezeokenwa family compound in Umuchu.
The family has also made arrangements for a grand reception and condolence visits which will take place at the Umuchu Mini Stadium Complex, located directly behind Holy Name Parish. The reception venue will welcome dignitaries, friends, associates, political allies, and well-wishers who wish to express their solidarity and extend condolences to the bereaved family.
In a heartfelt invitation, Chief Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa expressed his profound grief over the passing of his father, describing him as a “departed scion” whose life was a beacon of service, honour, and humility. He also expressed hope in the resurrection and stated that the family draws strength from their Christian faith during this difficult time.
