APGA Mourns Passing of National Chairman’s Father, Chief Sir Ezeokenwa

**APGA MOURNS PASSING OF NATIONAL CHAIRMAN’S FATHER, CHIEF SIR SYLVESTER CHUKWUMA EZEOKENWA (EZEUDO UMUCHU)**



The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Sir Sylvester Chukwuma Ezeokenwa (Ezeudo Umuchu), the father of the current National Chairman of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa. 


The party described his demise as a great loss not only to the Ezeokenwa family but also to the APGA family nationwide.


In a condolence message signed by the Osun State APGA Chairman, Hon. Wole Adedoyin, and made available to journalists, the chapter eulogized the life and legacy of Chief Sir Sylvester Chukwuma Ezeokenwa, describing him as a pillar of strength and a committed party elder who dedicated his life to the service of his people and the development of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.


Chief Sir Sylvester Chukwuma Ezeokenwa was a staunch member of APGA and had, during his lifetime, served meritoriously as the Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government. His tenure in office was marked by developmental strides and purposeful leadership, earning him the respect and admiration of both the old and young in his community.


The Osun APGA described Chief Ezeudo Umuchu as a man of peace, wisdom, and integrity who lived a fulfilled life. His unwavering loyalty to the APGA ideology and his counsel to younger party members will forever remain cherished. He left behind a legacy of public service, humility, and dedication to community growth.


While commiserating with the National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, the Osun State Chapter of APGA prayed for strength and comfort for the entire Ezeokenwa family in this difficult period. The statement urged the family to take solace in the impactful life their patriarch lived and the values he imparted to generations.


Hon. Wole Adedoyin noted that the death of Chief Sir Sylvester Chukwuma Ezeokenwa is a painful one, especially at a time when his wisdom and experience are still needed in the political landscape. He stressed that his contributions to grassroots governance and party development remain indelible.


The statement further urged all APGA members across Osun and Nigeria at large to remember the Ezeokenwa family in their prayers and support them in every way possible during this time of grief. The party pledged to stand in solidarity with its National Chairman and his family throughout the mourning period.


Osun APGA also called on the national leadership of the party to immortalize Chief Sir Sylvester Chukwuma Ezeokenwa by instituting an annual lecture or community development program in his name as a way of honoring his legacy and contributions to the growth of APGA.


As arrangements for the final rites are being concluded by the Ezeokenwa family, the Osun APGA chapter promised to fully participate and show its support, describing it as a moral duty and a show of respect for a man who gave so much to the party and the people he served.
