APGA Osun Congratulates Gov. Soludo on Conferment of Chieftaincy Title, Oluatuegwu

 

APGA OSUN CONGRATULATES GOV. SOLUDO ON CONFERMENT OF CHIEFTAINCY TITLE, OLUATUEGWU


 

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on the recent conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy title Oluatuegwu Nke Izizi na Anambra by the Traditional Rulers of Anambra North.

In a goodwill message issued in Osogbo, the Osun State Chairman of APGA, Comrade Wole Adedoyin, described the conferment as a fitting recognition of Governor Soludo's exceptional leadership, visionary governance, and unwavering service to the people of Anambra State and Nigeria at large.

Adedoyin noted that the title Oluatuegwu, which translates to "The One Who Leads with Wisdom," aptly reflects the governor's exemplary contributions towards the development of Anambra State, especially in areas of economic reforms, infrastructure renewal, education, and public service transformation.

He further emphasized that the overwhelming endorsement of Governor Soludo by the traditional institution in Anambra North is a clear indication of the people's love and appreciation of his style of governance, grassroots engagement, and dedication to peace and progress.

“The honour bestowed on Governor Soludo is well deserved. It stressed the level of trust, respect, and admiration he commands among traditional rulers and the good people of Anambra,” Adedoyin said. “His bold reforms and people-oriented policies have repositioned Anambra as a beacon of development.”

The Osun APGA Chairman also used the opportunity to pray for Governor Soludo’s continued good health, divine protection, and longevity, expressing hope that the governor’s impactful leadership will continue to serve as an inspiration not only to APGA faithful but also to public servants across Nigeria.

He called on members of the party in Osun and across the country to continue to support Governor Soludo’s vision and to remain committed to the ideals and philosophy of APGA, which emphasize equity, justice, and the protection of the common man.

“Governor Soludo’s leadership continues to elevate APGA’s profile in Nigeria’s political landscape. His recognition as Oluatuegwu Nke Izizi na Anambra is a monumental testimony to his legacy as a servant-leader who uplifts his people,” Adedoyin added.

The Osun State Chapter concluded by congratulating the people of Anambra North for recognizing and celebrating excellence, while reiterating its hope that more honours will continue to come Governor Soludo's way in recognition of his enduring contributions to society.

APGA Osun Congratulates Pastor Tunde Popoola on His Consecration as a Reverend

 **APGA OSUN CONGRATULATES PASTOR TUNDE POPOOLA ON HIS CONSECRATION AS A REVEREND**



The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated Pastor Tunde Popoola, the former Chairman of APGA in Osun State and the current National Auditor of the party, on his elevation and consecration as a Reverend by the Ark of Life Charismatic Global Mission.


Pastor Tunde Popoola is set to be officially consecrated under the spiritual leadership of the Presiding Bishop, Mark Abayomi. 


This milestone in his spiritual journey is not only a personal achievement but also a testimony to his commitment to both public service and the work of the gospel.


The congratulatory message was contained in a press release signed and issued by the Osun State Chairman of APGA, Hon. Wole Adedoyin. 


He described Pastor Popoola’s consecration as a divine endorsement of his character, faith, and long-standing service to humanity.


According to the party, Pastor Popoola has been a source of inspiration and leadership within the APGA fold, both at the state and national levels. His political and spiritual growth reflects his unyielding dedication to righteousness, equity, and service to others.


“Pastor Popoola is a man of vision, strength, and unwavering faith. His consecration as a Reverend is a well-deserved honour and a recognition of his spiritual calling. APGA Osun is proud to identify with him on this special occasion,” the statement read.


The party also called on its members, supporters, and the general public, especially those residing within Osogbo and its environs, to attend the consecration ceremony and show support to a leader who has served them with diligence and humility.


Pastor Tunde Popoola previously served as the Chairman of the Osun State Chapter of the Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC), where he promoted peaceful political dialogue and strengthened collaboration among political parties in the state.


His transition into the ecclesiastical ministry is seen as a natural continuation of his service-oriented life. The Osun APGA described him as a bridge between political leadership and spiritual guidance, emphasizing his consistent moral values and leadership ethics.


Hon. Wole Adedoyin further expressed confidence that Pastor Popoola would continue to shine in his new role, just as he did in his political career. “We believe that this consecration will open new doors of impact and influence for Reverend Popoola,” he said.

Family Unveils Funeral Arrangements for Chief (Hon.) Sir Sylvester Anyarue Chukwuma Ezeokenwa, KSJI (Ezeudo Umuchu; Iche Ezenwata)

 

FAMILY UNVEILS FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHIEF (HON.) SIR SYLVESTER ANYARUE CHUKWUMA EZEOKENWA, KSJI (EZEUDO UMUCHU; ICHE EZENWATA)


 

The family of the late Chief (Hon.) Sir Sylvester Anyarue Chukwuma Ezeokenwa, KSJI, has officially released the funeral arrangements for the revered political figure and community leader, who passed unto glory at the age of 71.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by his son, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

In the statement, Barr. Ezeokenwa described his father’s passing as the transition of a peace icon who dedicated his life to community development, public service, and the promotion of unity across political and social divides. The Ezeokenwa family of Ummunwabuaku-Umuezenwakpadolu Kindred of Umublio Village, Amanasaa Umuchu in Aguata LGA, expressed deep sorrow at the loss, but also gratitude to God for a life well lived.

Chief Ezeokenwa was a seasoned political administrator, philanthropist, Knight of St. John International (KSJI), and a man deeply committed to his Catholic faith. His contributions to the development of Umuchu community, Aguata LGA, and Anambra State at large remain indelible. His legacy as a peacemaker and elder statesman will continue to inspire generations to come.

The funeral rites will begin on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, with a Christian Wake Keep and Service of Songs at his residence at Housing Estate, Fegge, Onitsha, scheduled for 5:00 PM. This will be followed by a series of events honoring his legacy and celebrating his life of service.

On Thursday, July 17th, 2025, the day’s activities will commence at 1:00 PM with a Valedictory Session at the Onitsha South Local Government Secretariat, Woliwo, Onitsha. At 3:00 PM, the body will arrive at the Temple of the Knights of St. John International, St. Jude Commandery for a Cancellation Exercise, followed by a brief stopover at the APGA Secretariat in Fegge at 4:00 PM.

On Friday, July 18th, 2025, a Requiem Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart Catholic Parish, Ziks Avenue, Fegge, Onitsha, beginning at 10:00 AM. Thereafter, the body will depart for Umuchu at 12 noon, arriving at Umuchu Civic Centre by 2:00 PM for a Valedictory Session organized by the Umuchu Improvement Union Representative Assembly (UIURA). A Vigil Mass will follow at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, Amanasaa Umuchu at 4:00 PM.

On Saturday, July 19th, 2025, the body will lie-in-state at his compound from 8:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Nome Parish, Umuchu at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place immediately after the mass at his residence. The family will receive guests for condolences at the Umuchu Mini Stadium Complex in Aguata LGA.

The final funeral activity, an Outing Mass, will hold on Sunday, July 20th, 2025, at SS Peter and Paul Parish, Amanasaa Umuchu, at 9:00 AM, marking the conclusion of the funeral rites for the beloved elder.

In line with public safety and legal requirements, the family has stated that the funeral rites will be conducted in strict compliance with the Anambra State Burial Law 2019.
