The Ibadan Book Club (IBC) has announced that the November edition of its prestigious Ibadan Book Dialogue will feature two outstanding female writers, Ahmed Aisha and Noimat Abiola Lateef, as headline guests.

The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Board Room of the Oyo State Library Board, located opposite the historic Cocoa House in Dugbe, Ibadan.

The upcoming session promises to be a remarkable gathering of literary minds and an inspiring platform for creative expression.

The Ibadan Book Dialogue remains one of the flagship literary programmes of the Ibadan Book Club, conceived to promote a vibrant reading culture, celebrate emerging and established talent, and encourage intellectual engagement among lovers of literature.

Since its inception, the Dialogue has provided a welcoming space for writers, poets, scholars, and readers to interact, exchange ideas, and explore the influence of literature on personal and societal development.

In a statement released to the press, Wole Adedoyin, Founder of the Ibadan Book Club, expressed delight at featuring the two young female writers in this month’s edition. He noted that their selection reflects the Club’s continuous commitment to spotlighting diverse voices and nurturing creativity within the Nigerian literary community.

She is currently working on a new nonfiction piece titled Maybe a Second Chance, which explores the complexities of misunderstanding and human relationships in contemporary society.

The forthcoming work reinforces Aisha’s passion for telling stories that provoke healing and offer guidance. Outside the literary world, she is also a social media strategist known for crafting relatable and impactful brand narratives for tech companies.

Her writing captures the delicate truths of human experience, offering readers a sense of connection and shared vulnerability. Osun 2026: APGA Opens Doors To Governor Ademola Adeleke For Re-Election Bid

OSUN 2026: APGA OPENS DOORS TO GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE FOR RE-ELECTION BID

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Osun State Chapter, has issued a formal statement addressing circulating reports that the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke, may consider pursuing his second-term ambition on the party’s platform.

APGA Osun affirmed its readiness to receive the Governor should he decide to align with the party.

In the statement signed by the Acting State Chairman of APGA, Wole Adedoyin, the party acknowledged Governor Adeleke’s notable performance across various sectors, describing him as a leader whose achievements are worthy of recognition.

APGA Osun emphasized that its platform remains open to progressive-minded individuals committed to genuine development and the welfare of the people.

The party highlighted the Governor’s accomplishments in the health sector, noting improvements in healthcare delivery, facility upgrades, and broader access to essential medical services. APGA Osun described these interventions as impactful and reflective of a government focused on improving public well-being.

Similarly, the statement praised the Governor’s contributions to commerce and economic growth. APGA noted that his policies have supported the expansion of small businesses, enhanced trade opportunities, and stimulated economic activities across the state, thereby creating a more vibrant commercial environment.

Governor Adeleke’s achievements in education were also acknowledged. APGA Osun commended the ongoing rehabilitation of schools, increased support for teachers, and reforms targeted at strengthening the overall quality of education. The party emphasized that such actions demonstrate a commitment to nurturing the next generation.

The infrastructure projects executed under the current administration were equally recognized. APGA Osun cited ongoing road constructions, public facility upgrades, and urban renewal efforts that have positively transformed communities and improved mobility throughout the state.

Beyond Governor Adeleke’s individual achievements, APGA Osun noted the strategic advantage of having him work alongside Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, who was recently re-elected due to his ardent pursuit and effective execution of APGA’s transformative manifesto.

The party highlighted that Soludo’s governance model—which has globally repositioned Anambra and sustained APGA’s leadership in the state for nearly two decades—aligns seamlessly with Governor Adeleke’s progressive vision.

APGA Osun stated that the combination of two high-performing, people-focused governors under the APGA umbrella would not only strengthen regional development but also contribute meaningfully to national advancement.

The statement reaffirmed APGA’s reputation as a party grounded in fairness, inclusiveness, and progress. APGA Osun stated that it is willing to provide a political home for Governor Adeleke should he choose to actualize his second-term ambition within the party.

In closing, APGA Osun commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his ongoing efforts in advancing the state and stated that he would be warmly welcomed should he opt to pursue his re-election bid under the APGA banner.

APGA Is National, Not Igbo: Adedoyin Counters Critics, Hails Adeleke’s Leadership

APGA IS NATIONAL, NOT IGBO: ADEDOYIN COUNTERS CRITICS, HAILS ADELEKE’S LEADERSHIP

The Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State, and the Chairmanship Candidate for Ilesa West Local Government in the last February Local Government Election conducted under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, Hon. Wole Adedoyin, has debunked the recurring claim that APGA is an “Igbo party.” He described the assertion as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to misrepresent the national identity and political strength of the party.

Hon. Adedoyin noted that APGA, like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), is a fully registered national political party with constitutional presence across the federation. He explained that while the party’s visibility is strongest in the South East and parts of the South South, APGA has established solid structures across all geopolitical zones. “APGA has won elections in Oyo State in the Southwest, as well as in Taraba, Benue, and Nasarawa States in the North in the past. The party’s popularity in Anambra and the wider South East does not diminish its national identity,” he said.

Speaking further, the Osun APGA Chairman addressed public reactions surrounding speculations that Governor Ademola Adeleke might consider APGA as a platform for his re-election bid. He stressed that while such speculations are widespread, the only comment worth responding to is the false narrative that APGA is regionally owned. “APGA is not an ethnic party. It is a national platform open to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, faith, or location,” he stated.

Adedoyin pointed out that Nigeria’s political history shows that regional dominance does not equate to ethnic ownership. He cited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s former Action Congress (AC) and later Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which were once dominant in the Southwest but never labelled as Yoruba parties. “The AC and ACN even fielded prominent Igbo and South South candidates for elective positions. That is how national parties operate. APGA is no different,” he affirmed.

Responding to insinuations of internal crisis, Adedoyin maintained that APGA remains stable, united, and properly structured. He emphasized that the party has no faction at the national level and is under the competent leadership of its duly recognized National Chairman, Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa. “There is no legal crisis in APGA. All recent elections, including the by-elections conducted by INEC in Anambra State, were won decisively by APGA. The party is growing stronger under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and Chairman Ezeokenwa,” he stated.

Hon. Adedoyin also highlighted APGA as the most viable political platform for any leader seeking a credible, people-oriented mandate. He expressed confidence that the party possesses the national capacity, internal unity, and grassroots structures required to support any re-election aspiration, should Governor Adeleke choose to run on its platform.

Finally, Adedoyin described Governor Ademola Adeleke as a divine blessing to Osun State, applauding his developmental strides across infrastructure, education, workers’ welfare, and social interventions. “Governor Adeleke has transformed Osun within a short period. His achievements speak for him, and we in APGA commend his exceptional service delivery. He remains a blessing to the people of Osun State,” he concluded.

APGA Osun congratulates Gov. Charles Soludo on Landslide Reelection Victory

APGA OSUN CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR CHARLES SOLUDO ON LANDSLIDE REELECTION VICTORY

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has congratulated His Excellency, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, on his resounding reelection as the Executive Governor of Anambra State.

This congratulatory message is contained in a press release issued today by the Caretaker Chairman of APGA in Osun State, Hon. Wole Adedoyin.

Governor Soludo’s decisive victory at the polls is a clear demonstration of the overwhelming approval of his transformative leadership and the impactful policies his administration has implemented in Anambra State over the past term. The people of Anambra have spoken unequivocally, reaffirming their trust in his vision of a liveable and prosperous homeland.

This triumph is not just a win for APGA but a resounding endorsement of good governance, fiscal prudence, and people-centric development, which are the core ideals our great party represents.

According to Hon. Adedoyin, "Governor Soludo's victory serves as a beacon of hope and a compelling model for the entire nation, demonstrating that when a leader is genuinely dedicated to the welfare of the people, they are rewarded with an overwhelming mandate. His 'Solution Agenda' has visibly begun to reshape the economic and social landscape of Anambra, and this reelection provides the needed continuity to consolidate these gains. We in Osun State are inspired by this example and are more determined than ever to build a strong and viable APGA structure here, to offer Ndi Osun a true alternative in governance."

The Osun State Chapter also commends the people of Anambra for their peaceful conduct and their unwavering faith in the democratic process. This electoral outcome reinforces APGA's position as a formidable and grassroots-based political force in Nigeria. It underscores the party’s resilience and its deep connection with the aspirations of the people, proving that APGA remains the authentic vehicle for the actualization of the people's collective dreams and developmental aspirations.

Once again, we congratulate our leader, Governor Charles Soludo, and the entire APGA family in Anambra State on this well-deserved victory. We pray that his second term will be blessed with greater wisdom, robust health, and unprecedented success as he continues his mission of building a prosperous and secure Anambra State for all.

Signed:

Hon. Wole Adedoyin Caretaker Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Osun State.
