2025: Osun APGA Greets Nigerians on New Year, Urges OSSIEC to Conduct Free and Fair LG Elections

**2025: OSUN APGA GREETS NIGERIANS ON NEW YEAR, URGES OSSIEC TO CONDUCT FREE, FAIR LG ELECTION**  



The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has warmly extended its New Year greetings to the citizens of Osun State and Nigerians at large. 


The party expressed its optimism for a year filled with progress, unity, and prosperity for all. 


This was contained in a press release issued by the Chairman of Osun APGA, Wole Adedoyin.  


In the statement, APGA Osun commended the resilience and dedication of the people of Osun State in surmounting the challenges of the past year. 


The party expressed gratitude to its members and supporters for their unwavering loyalty and commitment to the vision and values of APGA.  


APGA Osun took the opportunity to call on the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) to ensure that the forthcoming Local Government elections are conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner. 


The party emphasized that such elections are critical to strengthening democracy and fostering development at the grassroots level.  


“The Local Government elections provide an opportunity for citizens to have a say in the governance of their communities. We urge OSSIEC to prioritize transparency and fairness, ensuring that the electoral process reflects the will of the people,” the statement read.  


The party also encouraged eligible voters in Osun State to actively participate in the electoral process by registering to vote, collecting their voter cards, and turning out en masse on election day. APGA Osun reaffirmed its commitment to presenting credible and competent candidates who are ready to deliver impactful governance.  


APGA Osun further pledged to remain a vibrant and constructive opposition, working tirelessly to advocate for policies and programs that will improve the lives of Osun citizens. The Chairman of the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Wole Adedoyin, has applauded the exceptional achievements of Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, stating that his stellar performance is significantly boosting APGA’s popularity and attracting new members to the party.  


In a press statement issued by Adedoyin, he highlighted Soludo’s transformative governance style, which has not only improved the lives of the people in Anambra State but has also positioned APGA as a formidable political force across Nigeria. APGA Osun Urges Peaceful Christmas Celebrations, Calls for Improved Security

 APGA OSUN URGES PEACEFUL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS, CALLS FOR IMPROVED SECURITY



The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has extended warm Christmas greetings to all Christians in the state. 


The party urged citizens to celebrate the festive season with love, peace, and compassion, as exemplified by Jesus Christ, whose birth is being commemorated.  


In a statement issued by the Chairman of the party, Wole Adedoyin, from his hometown in Ilesa, APGA emphasized the need for reflection on the values of humility, sacrifice, and selflessness that define the essence of Christmas. 


The party called on Christians to embrace these virtues in their daily lives to promote harmony and unity in the state.  


The statement further acknowledged the challenges facing Osun State and Nigeria at large, including insecurity, and urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to prioritize the protection of lives and properties during and beyond the festive season.

OSUN LG POLL: APGA SUBMITS PARTY AGENT NAMES, URGES OSSIEC TO CONDUCT FREE AND FAIR ELECTION


 

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Wole Adedoyin, has announced the successful submission of the names of its party agents ahead of the February 22nd 2025 local government elections in the state. The party also called on the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) to ensure the elections are conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner.

This development was disclosed in a press statement released by Mr. Adedoyin in Ilesa on Sunday. The Chairman emphasized APGA’s commitment to strengthening democracy at the grassroots level and its readiness to participate actively in the upcoming elections.

The party’s list of agents, covering both councillorship and chairmanship positions, was submitted to OSSIEC in a letter dated December 4, 2024. According to Mr. Adedoyin, the submission is in full compliance with the electoral commission's guidelines and timelines.

Mr. Adedoyin expressed his optimism about the party’s performance in the elections, noting that APGA’s candidates are well-prepared to deliver quality leadership and development to their respective local governments. “Our candidates are focused on grassroots development and inclusivity, and we are confident they will earn the trust of the people,” he stated.
